Sankalp Research

By Hiten Bhuta — Independent Researcher & Founder, CGS Infotech & Cyberweb Hotels

Abstract

This paper explores the role of founder intention, sankalp, and inner commitment in entrepreneurship, strategy formation, leadership behavior, and long-term organizational results. Sankalp — a Sanskrit term meaning a deep, deliberate inner resolve or commitment — is proposed as a foundational variable in the study of entrepreneurial success and organizational performance.

The paper argues that the quality and depth of a founder’s sankalp shapes not only their own behavior but also the culture, direction, and long-term results of the organizations they lead. It draws on Indian philosophical tradition, leadership theory, and entrepreneurship research to build a conceptual framework for understanding how inner intention translates into outer organizational outcomes.
