Leadership Corollary Parallelism: A New Hypothesis on Identity

Abstract
This paper proposes a new hypothesis called Leadership Corollary Parallelism, which explores how a leader’s self-identity runs in parallel with — and directly shapes — their actions and the results those actions produce. The hypothesis draws on the author’s experience in entrepreneurship and leadership to argue that identity is not merely a background condition but an active, generative force in leadership behavior and organizational outcomes.
The paper introduces the concept of corollary parallelism to describe the phenomenon whereby the leader’s inner sense of self is consistently reflected in their outward choices, communications, and strategic decisions — producing results that mirror the quality and depth of that identity.
